Path Traversal occurrences in Openmage
OpenMage is a community-driven alternative to Magento CE. In OpenMage before versions 19.4.10 and 20.0.5, an administrator with permission to import/export data and to edit cms pages was able to inject an executable file on the server via layout xml. The latest OpenMage Versions up from 19.4.9 and 20.0.5 have this Issue solved (2021-01-21, CVE-2020-26295)

In affected versions an administrator with permission to update product data to be able to store an executable file on the server and load it via layout xml. The latest OpenMage Versions up from 19.4.10 and 20.0.6 have this issue solved. (2021-01-20, CVE-2020-26252)
Why Path Traversal can be dangerous
Relative Path Confusion means that your web server is configured to serve responses to ambiguous URLs. This configuration can possibly cause confusion about the correct relative path for the URL. It is also an issue of resources, such as images, styles etc., which are specified in the response using relative path, not the absolute URL.
If the web browser permits to parse "cross-content" response, the attacker may be able to fool the web browser into interpreting HTML into other content types, which can then lead to a cross site scripting attack (link do XSS).
